Yesterday was a blessed day. I walked a few trails around our 250 acres in constant awe of God’s creation. In everything that I passed, stepped on; everything that flew by me, I heard, I smelled, I felt…I could see His works. I could see His love. Sometimes when I walk those trails I am reminded how close God is. When I take a moment to close my eyes, take a deep breath, and listen, I can hear His voice and feel His touch. He is literally walking and standing beside me in those very moments, always. It brings me great joy just thinking about it and writing this.

When we can picture God with us, everywhere we go and everywhere we are, our perceptions change. Our focus and mindset changes on a whim. We remember how small we truly are, and how faithful He truly is. All my ideas – and my wisdom, and my beliefs, and my knowledge – are squished into a tiny molecular pellet. If even that big! He is bigger than we can even imagine. Yet, gentle, caring, loving, merciful, gracious, beautiful and forgiving. His love for us is beyond understanding, and His desire for a relationship with each us is very real. He wants us to be with Him.

Picture God beside you in every part of your day today. Welcome Him into your space and talk with Him. Tell Him your dreams, your hopes, your struggles. If you’re mad, tell Him you’re mad! He may not speak audible English, but He speaks. You may not like His answer, but remember, He is way smarter, and way more wise, than you are. And if you think, “was that God?” It very well may have been. Trust and have faith in His voice and in His answers.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
