Interesting where God led me today…

Have you ever been in a situation where standing-up for something you believe in has left you sitting, instead? Backing down from an argument, not because you believe the other to be right, but rather because you had fear of what would happen if you stood? Diverting an argument, because in 2017 everyone takes offense to everything?

I’m taken-back, at times, from the amount of “standing-up” and “standing-firm” on what people believe in. It’s overwhelming! Rights that others believe should be rights, and how wrong people are for not letting others have those rights. So confusing, right?

Even though we all have beliefs, the ones pointing their finger at others who are standing-up for their beliefs, are the ones standing-up for those whom they believe should have rights. It apparently isn’t right to believe that something is wrong…and that is just wrong in itself.

Now, if that made sense to you, you get an A+ for the day! Congrats!

Standing-up, or sitting-down, can be a difficult decision; depending on what exactly is being brought to the table. But your choice shows where your passion is. If your passion is on fire, you will stand-up; if your passion is barely smoldering, you most likely will sit it out.

In 2017, we are all sitting a lot over matters that we should be standing-up for. And standing-up on matters that are not getting us into God’s Kingdom.

If you’re a believer in Jesus Christ…STAND UP! Being a believer in His Word, means standing-up and standing-firm on what is written! NOT on what you personally feel is right, or wrong.

Jesus is the truth. (John 14:6)

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:14

Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Philippians 1:27

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” John 5:8

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:14

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end, Hebrews 3:14

And many, many, many, more!!
